The new BOA Technical Committee Propagation Subgroup are interested if you have any evidence you would like to share as part of a proposal to request a peat exemption for propagation.
The BOA believe there is a strong case for exemptions, we need to show where and why exemptions are needed. We are currently looking for evidence to support this view. Please join the growing media group page to help us make a case.
Conversely, if you feel that you can produce peat-free now or in the foreseeable future that would also be helpful to know.
It will have much more impact if the BOA can share specific examples from identifiable nurseries so please indicate if you would be happy for this to occur.
